Psycho-Oncology is the psychology field dedicated to prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate the psychological and social effects of a cancer diagnosis in patients and their families. The psychological intervention takes place in the Palliative Care process, provides the patients with companionship on the last steps of their lives by detecting and covering the patient and family's needs. This field has the purpose of minimizing their suffering and improving their life quality. In both scenarios, we work on the skills, strength, and resilience of our patients to face their situation and the changes that come along with it.
